We are interested in modeling biological systems using probabilistic methods, and energy minimization techniques, and the development of effecient techniques for solving some problems in bioinformatics using learning techniques coupled with some domain specific knowledge.

			String Algorithms
			We are interested in algorithms for string analysis such as string assembly, string alignment and the use of learning methods and alignments to extract functional genomic information.

			Statistical Data Analysis
