Hello everyone !! I am a third year PhD student in the Computer Science Department, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY.
My advisor is Professor Petros Drineas. I also work closely with Professor Malik Magdon-Ismail.
I obtained my Master's degree in Computer Science in December 2012 from RPI.
I earned a B.E. degree (Hons), from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Bengal Engineering and Science University , Shibpur, India.
My research lies at the intersection of Machine Learning and Randomized Algorithms for Numerical Linear Algebra (RandNLA for short). I use RandNLA for solving large-scale machine learning
problems. Some of the areas I have worked include Random Projections, Support Vector Machines, Singular Value Decomposition and Quadratic Programming.
I am looking for internships / co-op in the field of data mining and/or machine learning for summer 2013.
