Undergraduate research projects can be drawn from a range of topics related my research program. My research lies in three main areas: the development of the dVC physics engine, techniques for robot manipulation planning, and methods for social robotics. Research projects can be formulated to be focused on code development, physical experiments, or a combination of both.
Undergraduate research projects can be undertaken for credit or for pay (See the rules from the Office of Undergraduate Education). Your needs and the availability of research funds will determine which option is best for you.
If you are interested in a research position with me, send email (trink(at)cs.rpi.edu) with the following contents:
I will review your materials, contact your references, and contact you to let you know if there is a good enough match between my research projects and your interest, and if your level of preparation is sufficient.
