W3Pal Applications:
The WWWPal system is primarily composed of the following applications: The Browser application interface is used to view and analyze webgraphs. It has several functions to filter, sort, and display graph information. All graph information is saved in the portable XML graph language, XGMML. In addition, a number of visualization heuristic functions are included. These functions can be applied to any graph to simplify the realization of patterns and create clear presentations. They are described in detail in the Browser Manual. The Editor application interface allows users to create their own graph files from scratch. Directed and Undirected graphs can be created and manipulated in the editor. The editor is useful for planning website structure and testing certain website configurations. In general, it is a great application for creating graphs. The editor stores graph information in the portable XGMML format. The Navigator application interface allows the users to select nodes from the webgraph and load the corresponding resourses into a web browser. Users can navigate web sites directly from the W3Pal display area. HTML pages and individual objects can be loaded into a web browser just by selecting them from the web graph. The Robot (webbot) application interface allows users to create web graphs of whatever sites they choose. The user only needs to enter the website URL, and the webbot goes out and makes a web graph of choosen site. |
