Super Lab 7 – Net I

David's FUN Lab

The purpose of this lab is to help you review any technologies studied to this point.  Some of you are prepping to take the CCNA certification exam.  Others need a review for their in-class mid-term.  In this lab you will be creating your own lab that is a reflection of what you need to review.  If you are not sure what you are weak in, then go through the Table of Contents of the CCNA Portable Command Guide and see what areas you would have a difficult time configuring.

Task 1:  Clear routers and switches of any previous configurations

Task 2:  Create an IP addressing scheme

Below is a diagram of all the physical connections in your pod.  It is not necessary for you to use them all.  If you need practice with this and subnetting, then create this from scratch.  If you do not need practice with this, then use an IP addressing scheme from a previous lab.

Task 3:  Create a VLAN scheme

Task 4:  Create a Frame Relay scheme

Task 5:  Basic Configurations

Task 6:  Setup Routing

What do you need practice with?  RIP?  EIGRP?  OSPF?  Static/Default?  This is what you should use for routing between the devices.

Task 7:  Once you have verified connectivity throughout your devices, concentrate on the technologies in which you are weak

STP and EtherChannel

Telnet and SSH

Basic, Extended, and Named Access Lists

NAT

DHCP

PPP and PPP CHAP authentication

CDP

Task 8:  Wrap It Up

Save all configurations and load them to WebCT for credit.  Be sure to save your configurations for future use!
