Calculating Your Course Grade

As explained in the course syllabus, your grade will be determined from the following grading scheme:

• Programming projects (30% of course grade)

  P1, P2: 100 point scale at 15% (each)

• Research paper and oral presentation (30% of course grade)

  RP: 100 point scale at 20%
  OP:  10 point scale at 10%

• In-class/group exercises (15% of course grade)

  G1, G2, G3: 10 point scale at 5% (each)

• Active participation inside and outside the classroom (15% of course grade)

  NG: 15 point scale at 10%
  IC:  5 point scale at  5%

• Video lab reports (10% of course grade)

  V1, V2, V3, V4, V5: 5 point scale at 2% (each)

which leads to the following formula:

   COURSE_GRADE = (P1+P2) * (0.15)    +  (RP) * (0.20) + OP  + 
                  (G1+G2+G3) * (0.5)  +  (NG) * (2/3)  + IC  + 
                  (V1+V2+V3+V4+V5) * (0.4)

The curve (if any) will be posted outside the instructor's office during finals week.
