Thesis Defense

When your thesis is complete, you must defend it in a public exam conducted by your committee. You will need to:

  • Schedule the defense for a time when all committee members can be present.
  • Reserve a room.
  • Place a copy of your thesis in the lounge, so that those who wish to attend your defense may look at it in advance.
  • Send a copy of your abstract to Chris Coonrad so that she can forward it to the department faculty and grad students.
  • Fill out a Record of Thesis/Project Examination form. After your defense, have your committee members sign the form.
  • Have your committee members sign your thesis cover pages.
