Old announcements
- [4/9] The lab should read "to be completed by April 16" instead
of the 15th. If you cannot make one of the time slots on the
calendar, then contact Andrea Maggi maggia@rpi.edu and arrange another
time with her. To reserve a time, go to calendar.yahoo.com. The login
name is "robotalgorithms". (I gave the password out in class.)
- [3/31] I'm going to have to cancel my office hours Tuesday
morning April 2. (At least the part from 10 to 11.) If you were
planning on stopping by during office hours, please email me to
arrange some other time to come by.
- [3/31] Please read through the updated assignment 3 information page.
- [3/25] The assignment 3 support code is out. See the Assignment 3 Information page.
There will be a handout on the assignment and the support code
tomorrow in class.
- [2/25] My regular office hours will be Tuesdays from 10am to
noon. This week, I will also have office hours on Monday from 5 to 6.
- [2/24] As announced in class on Friday, Quiz 3 will be on
Friday March 1. It will cover Motion planning, in particular, exact
cell decompositions and roadmap methods.
- [2/18] The initial release of Assignment 2 support code is out. See
the Assignment 2 web page for
details.
- [2/13] The last pages of chapter 3 are now available. (This
was available online, but now that hardcopy was handed out in class,
I've taken it offline.) Hardcopy will be handed out in class on
Friday. There isn't really any new material here, but it may be
helpful for reviewing for Friday's quiz.
- [2/6] See the assignment 1 web page for important announcements.
- [2/6] There will be a guest lecture on Friday February 8.
- [2/5] Quiz 2 will be on Friday February 15 and will cover
motion planning basics (what the different approaches are, how they
differ, and configuration space) and cell decomposition approaches
(both approximate and exact).
- [2/4] My office hours for this week: Monday 3-4, 5:30-6:00;
Tuesday 4-5; Wednesday 1-2. Or by appointment. As a reminder, I will
be out of town Wednesday evening through Friday. I will probably
have a guest lecture on Friday.
- [1/25] On Tuesday the 22nd, I asked the bookstore to order
some copies of "Computational Principles of Mobile Robotics" by Dudek
and Jenkin. They said it would take 7-10 days for it to be ordered
and come in. I'll keep you posted.
- [1/25] See the Assignment 1
information page for additional assignment information and updates.
- 1/18: Quiz 1 will be on Friday January 25 and will cover
locomotion configurations and centers of rotation.
