HOWTO: Forward email from to

HOWTO: Forward email sent to

You may chose now, or in the future (after you graduate for example) to forward your CSLab email to a different account. It is important that wherever you forward your email to that you read it at least a couple of times a week on average. To forward your email you can use the websieve interface, or you can edit the file /servers/mail/forward/USERID to specify an alternate address like to send your email to. Here is how websieve works:

Access the websiev website:

Select Forward Mail

Enter your forwarding email address and save

Select advanced options to enable scripting

Enable Scripting

Sanity check your changes

  • Send a test message to the account setup to forward email.
  • Log into your target email account and verify the test message was delivered.

Known problems

  • If you set up forwarding a long time ago and can't seem to change it using the steps above, contact labstaff for assistance.
