November 30 outage
The following message came out warning of a brief outage Friday, November 30 starting at 6am. Please plan accordingly.
will be implementing some changes to part of our networking infrastructure as a step toward improving the performance and reliability for many of the services we offer. The final stage of this process requires that we reboot a critical piece of network hardware, the CISCO PIX firewall, for Subnet 5.
Several services, including SharePoint
, Exchange Email, Active Directory Domain Controllers/Domain Authentication, BlackBerry
Enterprise Services, and the AirWatch
Mobile Device Management service, are on subnet 5.
Our plan is to finalize our network changes and reboot the PIX firewall at 6am, this coming Friday, 11/30. We expect this work to take about 15 minutes. During this time, the services listed above will not be accessible from on campus and/or from off campus.
