Ok ... we have quite a few new people who are wanting to participate in the Tetherless World Undergraduate Lab this Semester. And we're having a tough time getting everyone in the lab to discuss this. So ... this is what we'd like to do.
You need to fill out paperwork in order to participate in the lab. Even returning undergraduates. We've decided that students participating for the first time in our lab will only be able to do it for experience or for credit, not for pay.
The deadline for submitting paperwork is September 12th.
So, everyone please go to http://tw.rpi.edu/web/undergradlab, scroll down a bit below the list of names. Under Registration/Applications are the links you need to follow. You'll need to fill out the Undergraduate Research Program Application and the Independent Study Registration. These forms need to be signed by one of our faculty here in the constellation, and by your advisor. So lots to do in a short amount of time.
We have lots of projects in the lab, and lots of tasks that need to be accomplished. We encourage you all to look at our list of projects at http://tw.rpi.edu/web/projects and see if anything interests you. At the same time, we have tasks that need to be accomplished on our projects as well that we'll need you all to work on. Click here to see what we have so far: http://tw.rpi.edu/web/undergradlab/projects.
We really look forward to working with you all. And we hope we're able to get the paperwork filled out in time.
We will have meetings at least once every other week. Probably with food and Wii/Xbox. We encourage you all to come in this week to take a look around the lab whenever you have time to do so. Look for me in room 2132 and/or John Erickson. You'll need to use the elevator to come into the lab until we get everyone's badge set up.
John ... did I miss anything?
