We will discuss the various NSF emphasis areas/programs and major new initiatives that are under
way and/or planned as well as opportunities and challenges in areas of Computer and Information
Science and Engineering.
Brief Bio E.K. Park is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Missouri.
He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from the Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois
USA. Currently, he is a Program Director at US National Science Foundation, CISE Directorate, CCF
Division. Dr. Park has published over 135 technical papers including 2 best paper awards. He is
the founder of CIKM and ICCCN conferences.
