Data to Decisions in an Automated Fab

Michael Miller
Director, Strategic Planning and Operations
GLOBALFOUNDRIES
Malta, NY

April 25, 2012
Fischbach Room, Folsom Library - 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Abstract:

Semiconductor manufacturing is one of the most complex fabrication processes of any industry. In a fully automated semiconductor fab, huge volumes of data are produced daily; this data must be collected, stored, managed, and analyzed in order to turn that data into rapid decisions. This is a multi-disciplinary problem, spanning database, data warehouse, data mart, security, analysis, and reporting fields. This talk will review such issues currently being addressed in GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ 300mm state-of-the-art fabs, including the one in Malta, NY.
