Requirements for Release Version 2010
Revised 9-22-10
1. Leave Projects as are but disable the "invite new members" link.
This will avoid any issues with project permissions, as users will be the only project member for their projects. All other project functionality is safe.
2. Establish MetPetDB Fellows and establish Fellow approval protocol/functionality to allow contributors.
This involves:
Making all current members contributors
Requiring registration for downloading data (samples/subsamples/images/analyses)
Establishing a working contributor request protocol complete with a group of fellows.Possibly: a means of confirming new fellows as well
3. Having download capabilities for all our data (samples/subsamples/analyses)
Images can be downloaded via the browser, but metadata is lost...
5. Improved quality of image upload process including:
A separate spreadsheet upload.
A partial acceptance process whereby unaccepted images and metadata are returned to the user to be easily fixed or passed over (close to uploadable form).
6. Working display and link of reference information for published samples.
Bibliographic reference info files are uploaded by admin (Stephen).
