Evrim Acar got her Ph.D and M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY) in 2008 and 2006, respectively and received her B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University (Istanbul, Turkey) in 2003.

Currently, she is a Post Doc. in the Informatics and Decision Sciences Department in Sandia National Laboratories focusing on tensor decomposition techniques and algorithms with applications in social network analysis. Her research interests include multiway data analysis, data mining, time series analysis and computational neuroscience.
