| Your grade for the course will be determined from your
laboratory attendance and your scores on 3 exams and 4 programming projects. Labs
There are 12 labs scheduled for the semester. The number of labs you complete
will determine your lab grade.

Exams
There will be 3 exams given during the semester. There will be two hour long
exams given during class and one final exam given during finals week. The final exam
will be worth twice as much as the first two exams. Your raw exam score will be converted
(curved) into a letter grade based on the class average and grade distribution.
Projects
There will be 4 projects given during the semester. Your projects will be
evaluated by the TA's and a letter grade will be assigned to each project based on
correctness, design, and documentation.
Final Grade
Your final letter grade will be computed based on the average of 10 grades. Your
lab grade and final exam grades count as two grades (i.e. they are weighted twice as much
as the other grades. The following table will be used to assign a numeric value to
