I am a second year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), NY, USA. I am working under Dr. Sanmay Das on a broad range of topics from Computational Economics and Machine learning. I am also affiliated with SCNARC , where I am currently working on designing and analysing market mechanisms for resource allocation in wireless sensor networks. |

I am currently enrolled as a graduate student at RPI. Prior to that, I completed my Bachelors(B.Tech) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Roorkee in 2007. I worked under Dr. R.C Joshi on Retrieval of IPR violation cases precedent using Text Mining, as a part of my undergraduate thesis. After my undergrad, I joined Secure Enterprise Search Group in Oracle and worked there for 1 year. Thereafter, I joined Teng & Associates, Chicago as a Software Developer, I left that job in fall 2009 to pursue Ph.D.
I am working on variety of interesting problems lying at the intersection of Computer science and Economics. Here is a list of my publications, which give a snapshot of my research

I was born in the historic city of Agra, UP, India but I spent all my childhood in Meerut, UP. I moved to Roorkee in 2003 for my undergrad and spent 4 wonderful years in the lushing green environment in the foothills of himalayas. A small trivia, IIT Roorkee, is the oldest technical institute of Asia and Rensselaer is America's oldest technical research university and I have been in both ;).
