Department Service and Undergraduate Advising

Since the Fall semester of 2000, I have served as Chair of the Laboratory Committee. This committee is responsible for the continual review, development and oversight of computing laboratories within the Department of Computer Science.

As part of Rensselaer's commitment to quality undergraduate education, all faculty members are encouraged to serve as undergraduate advisors. This fall, I will continue advising the 30 Computer Science majors from the Class of 2004. As an advisor, I will listen to a students personal academic goals and help him or her develop a plan of study that best meets those goals.
