The Life of Jennie

I was born three weeks early, to Jim and Mary Corman, at Bellevue Hospital in Niskayuna, NY (to the left.) I live about two miles from that very hospital now. Obviously, my life has not been a very mobile one. But it's been a pretty good one.

For the first several years of my life, I attended Rosendale Elementary School. It was great. The playground to the right was built when I was in third grade. We weren't allowed to run on it.

My middle school, Iroquois, is behind Rosendale. It wasn't great. I think everyone hated Middle School. I am no exception.

Then I moved on to Niskayuna High School for the remainder of my early Niskayuna life. It was pretty good for high school. Nothing too exciting happened to me while there. I did Mock Trial, rowed for one season, and took a lot of classes. My favorites were english, biology, and German. I graduated in May, 2000 from Wellesley College, which was the coolest place ever. I really miss it. Check out my Wellesley page for more stuff about my life at school. I got my Master's in Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, while working at the GE Global Research Center in the Software Technology Program. After I finished my degree, I spent about another year working at the Center in the Computational Systems Lab. Recently, I moved out to Seattle to start a whole new bit of my life, working at Expedia as a Program Manager in their private label group.

My family is pretty cool. I have one sister, who also lives in out here Seattle. She's currently coaching crew at the Pocock Rowing Center, and will be married this summer (check out their wedding page).

My father used to work at General Electric, but now he's retired. He was definitely a little sad that I left the Center, but at least my sister and I ended up in the same place. He and my mom travel a whole lot now, and have even semi-retired to Florida--and Ireland.
