Special Issue on Grids and Worldwide Computing

The Internet and the Web have created a revolution in modern communications and future generation Grid cyberinfrastructures have the potential to revolutionize the way we live to a much larger extent. Millions of nodes and devices connected to an everyday more pervasive and ubiquituous network provide an opportunity for scaling computationally intensive applications to national and worldwide infrastructures.

While current grid services development represents an excellent starting point to accomplish worldwide computing, there remain a number of important challenges largely unaddressed today. These include:

Papers are solicited describing original research contributions in the following (non-exhaustive) list of topics: Authors should follow the Scientific Programming manuscript format. An electronic copy of the manuscript, in Postscript or PDF format should be submitted via electronic mail to by May 1st, 2005. Submission should include authors names, affiliations, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses on the cover page. Only original manuscripts, which have not been submitted elsewhere, will be considered for publication. All papers will be subject to a thorough peer review process.
