Biography

I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science, Rensselear Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in December 2012. My advisor was Professor Randolph Franklin. Before coming to RPI, I obtained my B.Eng. and M.Phil. degrees in 2003 and 2005 respectively, both from the Department of Information Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). My Bachelor final year project supervisor was Professor Po-Choi Wong and my M.Phil. supervisor was Professor Wai-Yin (Will) Ng. From August 2005 to July 2008, I was a full-time teaching assistant in the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics, business faculty, CUHK. I was an intern in IBM China Research Laboratory during summer 2012.

Research Interests

My research theme in my Ph.D. study was the reconstruction of geographical and hydrological data from partial survey data. Previously I worked on software license optimization algorithm, stereoscopic display for the colorblind, multimedia coding and conversation agent.
