Biography

I am now a Senior Member Of Technical Staff with Oracle America. My focus current focus is the networking of Oracle private Cloud Infrastructure.

I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science, Rensselear Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in December 2012. My advisor was Professor Randolph Franklin. Before studying in RPI, I obtained my B.Eng. and M.Phil. degrees in 2003 and 2005 respectively, both from the Department of Information Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). My Bachelor final year project supervisor was Professor Po-Choi Wong and my M.Phil. supervisor was Professor Wai-Yin (Will) Ng. From August 2005 to July 2008, I was a full-time teaching assistant in the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics, business faculty, CUHK. I was an intern in IBM China Research Laboratory during summer 2012.

Research Interests

Currently I am working on a cultural research on the various aspects of Hong Kong that has been captured by video games. See here for the work-in-progress.

My research theme in my Ph.D. study was the reconstruction of geographical and hydrological data from partial survey data. Previously I worked on software license optimization algorithm, stereoscopic display for the colorblind, multimedia coding and conversation agent.
