Research focus:

• Primary: Using statistical algorithmic approaches and cross-species DNA multisequence alignments for the detection of transcription factor binding sites and other regions of conserved sequence.
• Secondary: Statistical aspects of sequence alignments, including statistical significance, Bayesian confidence, and efficiency of sequence weighting schemes.
