Exams
There will be 3 exams. There will
be two in class
midterms (worth 200 points each) and a final exam
(worth 300 points)
during finals week.
Projects
There will be 8 projects,
worth a total of 250 points. Your projects will be
evaluated by the TA's and a grade will be assigned to
each project based on
correctness, design, and or documentation.
Some projects may not involve coding, some may.
Pop Quizzes
During class, pop quizzes will be given. These quizzes will
usually be 5-10 minutes. The quizzes will be given randomly
and only some of them will be graded (also determined randomly).
The total value of all the pop quizzes will be 50 points.
Final Grade
Your Final score will be the sum of these 5 scores.
2 Midterms (400 pts)
Final (300 pts)
Projects (250 pts)
Pop Quizzes (50 pts)
Lab Homeworks (50 pts bonus)
Your letter grade will be a
monotonically increasing function of this score.
A ROUGH guide for the thresholds is
given in the following table.
