Policies
·
There will be about
5-6 smaller assignments, usually due in 7-10 days, and 1 larger project, broken
into 4-5 phases. Note that the schedule is tentative and the number and nature of
assignments may change, depending on how fast/slow we move with the class.
·
All work should be completed independently. Discussion with other
students in the class and the instructor is allowed, but the actual work should
be your own. Assignments that show excessive similarities will be taken as
evidence of cheating and dealt with accordingly.
· Assignments are to be turned in on the due day as specified.
Late assignments will be penalized 10% for each day late, up to a maximum of 5
days. In cases of legitimate emergency, please contact the instructor in
advance!
·
Make written
assignments readable! They are to be handed in on regular paper, legibly written or typed. Your solutions have to be precise and detailed: you have to work out all details that are necessary to solve the problem.
You also have to write your solutions in a way that convinces the grader that
you understand all the details. Be careful, precise, and thorough.
