I graduated from the Department of Computer Science, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I was a member of the graphics group in RPI, my advisor was Professor Barbara Cutler. My research focuses on computer graphics, global illumination, interactive rendering, daylighting simulation. I am also interested in numerical computing accelerated by modern graphics processors.

Before I came to US, I got my master's degree from Zhejiang University and bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in China.

I often receive emails asking for a technical report I wrote several years ago about the process scheduling algorithm in Linux Kernel 2.6.4. I tried my best to reply these emails in time. However, I might be busy sometimes and do not have time to check my email, so I put a copy of the document here (It's in Chinese. If you are a big fan of Linux kernel, I recommend the book "Linux Kernel Development" from Robert Love).
