Sensor Placement and Management (Volkan Isler and Onur Tekdas)

Robots operating in a workspace can localize themselves by querying nodes of a sensor-network deployed in the same workspace. In this project we address the problem of computing the minimum number and placement of sensors so that the localization uncertainty at every point in the workspace is less than a given threshold. Robotic Routers (Volkan Isler and Onur Tekdas)

Mobile robots equipped with wireless networking capabilities can provide network connectivity to mobile users. In this work, we present motion planning algorithms for one or more robots to maintain the connectivity of a single user (target) to a base-station. We study two target models: in the first model, the target's trajectory is known in advance. In the second model, the target moves in an adversarial fashion and tries to break connectivity.
