About Me

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Computer Science under Selmer Bringsjord.

Current Research and Projects

Over the past year, I have been a student researcher in the Rensselaer Artificial Intelligence and Reasoning Lab, focusing on the project Solomon.

  • Solomon - An intelligent and rational question and answer system based on sophisticated human-machine interaction.

Teaching

  • I was a Teaching and Learning Assistant with the Advising and Learning Assistance Center from the Fall 2006 to Spring 2007. My work consisted of:
    • Drop-in tutoring three nights a week for all undergraduate Computer Science courses.
    • Teaching a series of Computer Science workshops to supplement introductory classes.
    • Working on Residence Life staff and holding office hours for students concerning career choices, interviewing skills, and other future related questions.
  • I led a bible study in Korean Christian Fellowship in the Fall 2006 and co-led in Fall 2005 and Spring 2006.
  • I was an undergraduate Teaching Assistant for CSCI-1190 - Beginning C Programming for Engineers in Spring 2006.

Work Experience

I interned the summers of 2004, 2005 and 2006 at Syracuse Research Corporation in the Software group. My work led me to:

  • Maintained and upgraded a system that tracked a database of parts created by the company.
  • Develop a program in C# for a device that tested a radar system using electronic waves and signals rather than by running physical tests.
  • Port an existing program to a Pocket PC that converted geographic locations to different coordinate systems.
  • Develop another program in C# to plot data received from a radar to an XY display or a 360 degree dislay with the center of the circle being the center of the radar.
  • Worked with several programs that displayed real time data being received from a radar.

Extra Curricular

I am a member of Korean Christian Fellowship and I enjoy softball, bowling, cycling, and soccer.
